April Update!

I hope this finds you and yours all safe and well, if perhaps not deliriously happy to be so restricted during this challenging time. Please walk the neighborhood and stay connected with each other from a safe social distance. Even with all the technology at our fingertips, nothing can replace first person connections.

I am sorry to announce that our HOA Board Vice-President, Aubrey Richardson III, has resigned from the board effective April 24, 2020. Aubrey has accepted a State Police position that will require his fa

mily to relocate. Aubrey, it has been a pleasure serving on the board with you. You have been a collaborative positive member and will be missed. Thank you so much for all the work you have done to make our neighborhood a wonderful place to live. We are sending you our very best wishes for professional success in your new position and for your family’s happiness and comfort in your new home.

Aubrey's resignation meant we needed to follow our bylaws (section 5.3.d) "a successor shall be selected by majority vote of the remaining directors and shall serve for the unexpired term of his predecessor" to fill his position. I am pleased to announce that Kelly Stew Lewis has accepted the challenge to fulfill the 18 months left of Aubrey’s term. Kelly and her family have lived in the neighborhood f

or almost 4 years. You may know her as the neighbor hanging out of her second story windows to tend to her flower boxes. She has a background in real estate law, corporate operations, and compliance. She hopes to use her professional experience to keep the neighborhood an enjoyable, livable place for everyone. Please help me welcome her when you see her walking the neighborhood or on this post. Thank you.

In other news, I'd like to remind folks we are now managed by Cedar so ARCs, Violations, and Collections all go there. We’ve updated our website with all the Cedar info. If you haven’t paid your annual dues already, please do so, or at least contact them.

Ken will be building a neighborhood “lending library” at the mailboxes in the near future. There will be two boxes on the pole, 1 for kids and 1 for adults. It was a request from the Fenwick Woods Book Club that was approved by the board. Leave a book (no requirement), take a book is the idea. We have held off putting it up because of the current contagion situation but hope i

t can go up soon.

We are very happy with Mason’s Landscaping and the work done at this time. Please do not make his job more difficult by placing your yard refuse on the common area beyond your fence and property. Also please remember that the trees between the sidewalk and road are yours to maintain and need trimming and watering just like the bushes near your front door. This is especially important for the new trees we recently had Mason plant for us. Thank you all for your help.
